MONOCRYL™ Monofilament Suture, Size 3-0, 36", Undyed, is a sterile, absorbable surgical suture made from poliglecaprone 25, a copolymer of glycolide and e-caprolactone. It is engineered for use in soft tissue approximation and ligation, particularly in procedures requiring minimal tissue reaction and predictable absorption.

As a monofilament, MONOCRYL™ offers a smooth surface that minimizes tissue drag and facilitates easy passage through delicate tissue. It is designed to cause less inflammatory response than chromic gut sutures, while also avoiding fraying commonly associated with braided materials. This results in cleaner wound margins and more precise closures.

MONOCRYL™ is frequently used in procedures involving the gastrointestinal tract, bladder, subcuticular layers, reproductive tract, and in healthy, rapidly healing tissues. It is also preferred for subdermal or intradermal closure due to its handling, pliability, and ease of knot tying. Its undyed form is particularly suited for cosmetic or aesthetic closures where reduced suture visibility is desired postoperatively.
